Our curtain pole collections range from Dateline with 18th and 19th century designs to Metal with sleek black brushed steel, chrome, brass and glass finials.
In between we have our French Collection with subtle gilts over greens and greys. Our Venetian Collection with its Italian elegance created with sumptuous silvers, white gold and subtle greys. And, our Chinese Collection using red lacquer to create a bold, contemporary yet traditional feel.
Chinese Black Collection
Hand finished in striking black lacquer to appeal to more modern interiors and modelled on designs from 9th, 12th and 18th century China.
The ancient Chinese lacquer art dating back thousands of years uses a resin from a ‘varnish’ tree indigenous to China. We use Shellac, a natural resin secreted by the female lac bug on trees in the forests of India and Thailand. Shellac is harder and less easily scratched.
