<p>Commissioned by English Heritage as part of Dover Castle&#8217;s Great Tower Refurbishment, <strong>Edward Harpley</strong> supplied</p>
<p>387 metres of iron curtain pole, 222 wrought iron brackets and 130 wrought iron finials.</p>

			<content:encoded><![CDATA[<p>Based on the <a title="Mansion House Sheraton State Bed" href="/mansion-house-sheraton-state-bed/?phpMyAdmin=4a7c4adee0c7t7dd22d57" target="_self">Sheraton State Bed</a> made for the Mansion House in London and made for a private home. Inspired by a description of John Phillips’ state bed in 1802 and Thomas Sheraton design from 1793.</p>
<p>This bed has more elaborate carvings to match existing architecture from around 1840. The Acanthus leaves and Corinthian columns are all hand carved and gilded.</p>]]></content:encoded>
